Low IQs are Africa's curse ...
I'm not sure what to think about this article. Shows that numbers can be manipulated to mean anything, especially in this age of academic freedom.
Mchokozi ... "You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait. Do not even wait, be quiet, still and solitary. My world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet ..."

The first point is that you cannot use IQ as a measure of intelligence with disregard to education levels not being equal in all countries.
That being said it is a ridicoulous argument that Africa's people are less intelligent. It just another attempt to justify a 'darker' Africa which cannot be prosperous unless the intelligent westerners offer their help. top

@3n
your observation is absolutely right. the basis of having an "aptitude" is being educated, so the whole study is just flawed from the get-go.
@gathara
i don't think many africans will find the argument credible ... top

I.Q cannot be affiliated with race at all! I have a book somewhere about debunking the Bell Curve, there are too many exogenous variables people who write these articles do not consider. top

Mchokozi is right...IQ is an antiquated concept. Nowadays, the big thing is EQ-Emotional Quotient-which supposedly has a higher correlation with what we would call intelligence. top

@acolyte
very true - many factors, not just one, come into play when testing IQ

i'm currently reading a book on emotional intelligence -- helps explain the influence on internal factors (emotions, etc) on external outcomes (IQ tests, performance etc). definitely eye-opening. top
